Fall Activities

Well Sept has come and gone, hard to believe. Into the next school year and the kids seem to have changed so much.

Olivia grew up overnight. The third week of Aug. she went into a bed, got rid of her soother, the baby gates were removed (they had been redundant for a while)and she pooped in the toilet. Woah what happen to my baby? She has really grown and talks a lot. She's cheeky, loves to climb and has to dress, get into the car, wipe her face all by herself, which was a favourite saying of Miah's at this age. She's very independent just like her sister.

Miah started preschool this Sept and is really enjoying it. She goes three mornings a week, which gives me some one on one time with Olivia. She couldn't wait to be "dropped off " like Lochlan does. Although now that it's not a novelty there are some days she wants Mummy to stay. She has continued with her gymnastics which she now does on her own. She even has her own leotard (body suit) - too cute. She has also started swimming lessons by herself and loves it. She feels like such a big girl and I'm happy that she is getting the time in the water.

Lochlan started year 1 and has so much more confidence this year. It's really great to see. He likes his teacher although not nearly as much as his one last year. He is also taking swimming lessons and playing soccer. Having fun at both.

Mark and I are anxiously awaiting any news of where we are heading next year. Although I'm not going to hold my breath as I think it will still be a while. We've had a pretty busy Sept. catching up with friends and getting back into the routine. We managed to take in a play at Minnack Theatre. It is an outdoor theatre in roman sort of style built into the rocks by the sea. Stunning. We went with our friends/neighbours Neil and Justine, ate pasties and drank champagne as is the tradition. We were a little frosty by the end of the production (Othello)but it was a great experience. Hope this all finds you well. L

Awesome photos Laura. The kids are looking great. Some photos of Olivia, I do a double take as I see a resemblance to Fiona. The Theatre looks awesome and quite impressive. It must have been a wonderful time. I am really missing the kids and wish they could be closer so that they could spend more time together with our kids. Have a great day. I will try and call soon.

Kids are so cute - loved the theatre - beautiful setting but I bet not quite as eventful as Shakespeare by the sea 9 years ago

Talk soon
